iCal Setup Guide

Connect your OTA calendars to Tamu in 10 minutes. Once connected, Tamu re-checks every calendar every 15 minutes. For sync times on each platform and the Agoda Homes vs YCS difference, read the full iCal guide.

What is iCal Sync?

iCal is a calendar link format offered by most booking platforms. When you connect your OTA calendars to Tamu, bookings from Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda Homes and others automatically appear in your Tamu calendar. This means you only need to check one place to see all your reservations.

Find Your iCal URL in the OTA

Each platform has a slightly different way to export your calendar. Follow the instructions for the platforms you use.

Airbnb

Log in to airbnb.com and open Calendar, then select your listing
Open the Availability settings for that listing
Find "Connect calendars" (older layouts call it "Sync calendars")
Copy the export link — it starts with https://www.airbnb.com/calendar/ical/

Booking.com

Log in to admin.booking.com
Go to Rates & Availability in the top menu
Click Calendar
Click the "Sync Calendars" tab
Copy the iCal export URL shown on the page

Agoda Homes

Log in to your Agoda Homes host account and open the listing
Go to Calendar, then Calendar Sync
Copy the export link (it only appears once the listing is live)
Hotel-style Agoda YCS accounts usually connect through a channel manager, not iCal. Tamu has no channel manager yet, so block YCS dates manually

Traveloka, Tiket.com, Trip.com

We found no public documentation of iCal links on these platforms; they usually connect through a channel manager
If your account manager gives you an iCal (.ics) link, add it to Tamu like any other feed
Otherwise, block dates on these platforms manually

Add the URL to Tamu

Log in to tamuhq.com/login
Go to Calendar in the left sidebar
Scroll down to the Calendar Sync section
Click Add Feed (or the pencil icon on an existing feed to edit it)
Paste the iCal URL you copied from the OTA
Select the room this feed belongs to (e.g., Spyder Room or Boomerang Room)
Click Save
Wait 15 minutes — the feed should show Synced with a green checkmark

Verify It's Working

After 15 minutes, check your Tamu calendar
OTA bookings should appear as colored blocks on the calendar
If a feed shows a red X, the URL may be incorrect — double-check and re-paste it

Troubleshooting

Feed shows a 404 error

The URL has changed on the OTA side. Go back to Step 1 and get a fresh URL from that platform.

Feed says "Synced" but calendar is empty

The calendar may genuinely have no bookings right now. Make a test booking on the OTA to verify sync is working.

Sync seems delayed

Tamu checks feeds every 15 minutes. The OTAs refresh on their own schedule: Airbnb updates imported calendars about every 3 hours, so a direct booking can take that long to block on Airbnb. Block dates manually at busy times.

I have multiple rooms

Each room needs its own set of feeds. Repeat Steps 1–2 for each room, making sure to select the correct room when adding each feed.
