iCal Setup Guide

Connect your OTA calendars to Tamu in 10 minutes. Once connected, Tamu automatically syncs availability every 15 minutes — no more double bookings.

What is iCal Sync?

iCal is a calendar format used by all major booking platforms. When you connect your OTA calendars to Tamu, bookings from Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda, and others automatically appear in your Tamu calendar. This means you only need to check one place to see all your reservations.

Find Your iCal URL in the OTA

Each platform has a slightly different way to export your calendar. Follow the instructions for the platforms you use.

Airbnb

  1. Log in to airbnb.com
  2. Go to Calendar from the hosting dashboard
  3. Click Availability Settings (gear icon)
  4. Scroll down to the "Sync calendars" section
  5. Click "Export Calendar"
  6. Copy the URL — it starts with https://www.airbnb.com/calendar/ical/

Booking.com

  1. Log in to admin.booking.com
  2. Go to Rates & Availability in the top menu
  3. Click Calendar
  4. Click the "Sync Calendars" tab
  5. Copy the iCal export URL shown on the page

Agoda

  1. Log in to ycs.agoda.com (YCS — Your Channel Solutions)
  2. Go to Calendar from the sidebar
  3. Click "Calendar Sync"
  4. Click "Export" to generate the iCal URL
  5. Copy the URL

Tiket.com

  1. Log in to extranet.tiket.com
  2. Go to Room in the sidebar, then click Calendar
  3. Look for "iCal Export" or "Calendar Sync"
  4. Copy the URL

Add the URL to Tamu

  1. Log in to tamuhq.com/login
  2. Go to Calendar in the left sidebar
  3. Scroll down to the Calendar Sync section
  4. Click Add Feed (or the pencil icon on an existing feed to edit it)
  5. Paste the iCal URL you copied from the OTA
  6. Select the room this feed belongs to (e.g., Spyder Room or Boomerang Room)
  7. Click Save
  8. Wait 15 minutes — the feed should show Synced with a green checkmark

Verify It's Working

  • After 15 minutes, check your Tamu calendar
  • OTA bookings should appear as colored blocks on the calendar
  • If a feed shows a red X, the URL may be incorrect — double-check and re-paste it

Troubleshooting

Feed shows a 404 error

The URL has changed on the OTA side. Go back to Step 1 and get a fresh URL from that platform.

Feed says "Synced" but calendar is empty

The calendar may genuinely have no bookings right now. Make a test booking on the OTA to verify sync is working.

Sync seems delayed

Tamu checks feeds every 15 minutes. Wait for the next sync cycle and refresh your calendar page.

I have multiple rooms

Each room needs its own set of feeds. Repeat Steps 1–2 for each room, making sure to select the correct room when adding each feed.
