About Tamu
Built for Malaysian hospitality. Owned by property hosts.
Our Mission
Tamu (meaning “guest” in Malay) exists to give Malaysian property owners their independence back. OTA platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com charge 15–20% per booking — for a 10-room chalet doing RM 50,000/month, that's RM 10,000 walking out the door every month.
We built Tamu so Malaysian hosts can accept direct bookings, keep more revenue, and build lasting relationships with their guests.
Our Story
Tamu was founded after watching Malaysian property owners — chalets, villas, glamping sites — hand over a fifth of their revenue to global OTA platforms month after month. The tools existed for large hotel chains to go direct, but small and mid-size Malaysian properties had no affordable, locally-supported option.
We changed that. Tamu is purpose-built for Malaysian properties: FPX payments, Bahasa Malaysia support, WhatsApp integration, and pricing in Ringgit. No per-booking commissions. No hidden fees.
